“CA” Compliance Option/Magazine Restrictions
Rooftop Arms DOES ship to California as well as other states/jurisdictions with detachable magazine laws. If you would like a Rooftop Arms rifle to be made “CA” Compliant, we will install a 4th Generation AR Maglock Kit with a silver Kingpin. There is a $150 fee for this change. Select the “CA” Compliant option in the drop-down menu on the firearm you are purchasing. We cannot offer substitutions as we have partnered with AR Maglock directly and we feel they offer a great product. You can change the type of compliance device if you like once you take possession of the firearm from your local FFL. If you live in a state with magazine capacity restrictions, we cannot ship our typical magazines that are included with our firearms. In this case, we will substitute Lancer L5AWM 10/30 round magazines for AR15 models, Lancer L7AWN 10-round magazines for AR10 models, and Glock OEM 10-round magazines for AR9 models for your order.
AR Maglock Gen 4 Information
AR MAGLOCK Gen 4 – AR-15 (.223 / 5.56) Fixed Magazine Lock and Release Solution (AR MAGLOCK in anodized black components, KingPin in silver).
The Gen 4 and KingPin combo allows for minimal separation (action disassembly) of the upper and lower receivers. The KingPin holds the upper receiver from flying open when disassembling the action.
Just a simple push on the pin with your thumb opens the action for mag changes, then automatically re-locks when you push the receivers together.
The Gen 4 benefits:
– New set screw on locking arm, allowing for adjustment to ANY receiver width including billet, composite, or 80% non-mil-spec receivers.
– Allows for “free state” adjustment when traveling outside California. Just reset the set screw to the end of the post and the locking arm will work just like an OEM magazine release button.
The KingPin benefits:
– Retain your critically important bolt catch
– Seamless double feed clearing
– Bolt hold back on the last round
– Fast magazine changes (as fast as OEM mag release button)
– Clear access to your safety selector
– Easy removal from the receiver to fully open the action

All AR MAGLOCK locking kits are patented under USPTO patent number: 8,756,845. KingPin is patented under 10,126,078.

We offer complete firearm/detailing cleaning services. Ship your firearm or suppressor to our gunsmith team and we will do a complete teardown/cleaning/reassembly. During this process, your firearm will be thoroughly inspected by a gunsmith to ensure it is functioning perfectly. We will contact you if any repairs are recommended. Send in your suppressor and it will get the same detailed complete teardown/cleaning/reassembly that any firearm would undergo. Many people don’t realize how often suppressors require cleaning and maintenance to continue functioning properly. Your items will be returned to you as if they are new out of the box, as well as lubricated and ready to take to the range. Pricing is $150 per item for pistols/AR-style rifles/suppressors. This includes return shipping. This price may seem expensive, but our all-inclusive door-to-door service is second to none! Your firearm will be shipped directly back to your door! I was born in Port Angeles, WA then moved to the Lewis County, WA area. Despite traveling all over the US for work and the military, I love the Northwest. I did spend several years in the military and had multiple deployments. I have had a passion for firearms my entire life, and I am so happy to have the opportunity to pass along that passion and knowledge to my community. Justin and I make a great team and we look forward to growing this company together for many years. I am also a certified gunsmith and love unique projects and troubleshooting rare firearm malfunctions.
I was born in Anchorage, AK, and still have many family ties there. However, most of my childhood was spent growing up in the south. Many days were spent shooting, off-roading, hunting, and just all around enjoying the outdoor lifestyle. My lifelong passion for firearms has led me to a stage in life where I want to share that knowledge and passion with more than just my friends and family. I have always dreamed of owning a gun company, and I am lucky to have a great business partner and friend, John by my side. He is a great asset to have on the team. I am excited to learn and grow professionally and personally as Rooftop Arms expands to serve our community.
